Hello ! My name is Mathieu, I am a french guy of 24 years old who has just finnished his study.

I decided to do an hitchhiking tour of Europe before I start working.

I am a rugby player who likes all kind of sports. Currently I really like to run and I would like to do a 10km in each city I stand !

I like all animals and you'll make me super happy if you have a dog 🐶 !

I am a sociable person who likes to discuss and help as much as possible. :)

I also can sleep in every place and position so don't be shy ! Everything is convennient for me ahah ( Even a piece of floor will do the trick because I have a camp matress and a sleeping bag with me )

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am using CouchSurfing for the first time because I'm starting a hitchhiking tour of Europe.

My plan is to go to the top of Sweden and then going at the bottom of Spain by crossing as many countries and meeting as many people as possible !

At the end of my trip I’ll definitely host more people 😊

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite kind of music is French chill rap (Sopico, Nepal …) and Lo-Fi (Feather by Nujabes) but I really like a big range of music and I'd like to discover yours !
The review from spotify has juste came out and apparently I really like  « Tropical house » music, and I've listen to one playlist, it is really true haha !

Unfortunately, I don't have a great movie culture :( But one movie that I could watch one hundred time would be Interstellar ✨

I have my eReader with me, I really like science-fiction books, I've just finished Dune and the trilogy of Liu Cixin "The Three-Body Problem" (Which is amazing). I also like non-fiction book, I'm currently reading "The Culture Map" of Erin Meyer and "The Daily Stoic : 366 meditations on wisdom, Perseverance, and the art of living" of Ryan Holiday & Stephen Hanselman

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Doing this tour of Europe is actually an extraordinary adventure !

Making people smile in each city I was, it's funny to see people smiling back at you when you are running or hitchhiking !

Once I'd been blocked 35 hours in the customs area of an airport, lucky me my lectures were online haha !

Winterbathing in a water of 5C in Aarhus with a CS 🥶

Intervene in a french class in Tallinn - Estonia just because a CS asked me

Slept in 4 stars Hotel instead of the street in Roma thanks to a CS met through Hangouts :)

I don't know if it is extraordinaire but during this trip, while I was away, I've let 2 different ukrainien person use my flat while I didn't know them.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am learning by myself Stoïcism each day, I'll do not pretend that I can teach you this philosophy but I can share with you some thoughts about it. :)

I really like to see how words can be similar between languages ! Right now I’m learning spanish and I could help you learning french 😊

I can also teach you the basis of typewritting on a keyboard and how you should sit in an ergonomical way in order to avoid musculoskeletal disorder ;)
