Currently I'm travelling around the world with my wife Sophie. We both have 27 years old and we come from Belgium.

Our first stop is Japan. Then we will travel few months in the south of Asia (Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Myanmar), Australia and New Zealand. After that one stop in the US and Cuba and we will finish our trip in South America (Peru, Bolivia, Chile, Argentina).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We want to discover the countries we travel in from inside: meet people, taste new food and avoid too much touristy stuff.
We gonna to travel during one year, so we don't want to spend all our time like simple tourists but see and share authentic moments with local people. Meet, discuss, eat and hang out with them. We want that trip change our European vision of living before we came back in Belgium to settle down (accepting guests), have kids and get older.
We also be happy to share our story, (short) experience and cooking if our host is interrested.

Music, Movies, and Books

We like different kind of music: from Pink Floyd to Benjamin Clementine or Stromae.
We are used to watch series during cold winter evenings: Game of Thrones (of course), Californication, Boardwalk Empire, Inside n°9, How I met your Mother, the IT crowd, House of Cards.
Some of our old favorite movies are The Godfather, Fight Club, Shawshank Redemption. More recently we got great time watching Mommy, Still Alice, the Hateful Eight,...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Quit our job to travel during one year ! We are engaged since August, so this trip is our "honeymoon".

Sophie spent six months in Rwanda working as a volunteer in a dispensary.

I'm a civil engineering working in a study office who design bridge and building structure. My wife is a doctor.
