About Me
Hi, everyone.
I am a 22 years-old French girl from Burgundy. I am currently living in Besançon where I study International Marketing but I wish I could live abroad. I have always been very interested by cultural différences and exchanges, so I wish I could at least work in a multicutural team!
I plan to travel on holiday since I don't want to have any regrets: the world is sooo big and I wish I could see as much as I can. Each country has its treasures that deserve to be discovered!
For now, I only lived for a couple of month in Italy and in Scotland and both were very good experiences because I had the chance to get in touch and stay in contact with native speakers who were always available to share about their country with me (i.e: Roman century and AWESOME story of Scottish warriors fighting for Scotland's Independence!).
I speak fluently English e parlo correntemente l'italiano. Sono molto interessata dalla cultura italiana, specialmente l'arte. Sono particolarmente affascinata dal Rinascimento e dalla storia di Firenze. Ci sono già andata due volte ed ogni volta, sono caduta per amore di questa città. Spero sempre tornarci.
I am fond of music, reading and jogging. Since I am truly curious, I am a long-life learner and I enjoy talk about life experience, psychology, philosophy, history, politics...
I first studied languages because I am keen on exchanging with people and learning cultural differences. My ideal job was to become a translator so that cultural knowledge and heritage get relayed.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've heard about Couchsurfing about 2 years ago and never had the opportunity to test it, but here it comes.
My best friend, who wants to learn Italian, and I are planning a short trip to Rome on august 2016 so that we can both practise the language and be immersed by sharing with local people. We would get in touch with a native speaker and we'd enjoy discovering the city as well as getting advised by our host and enjoy time with him/her.
For now, I don't have my own flat but I would be pleased to host people in the future. Travelling is a wonderful life experience that should be allowed to everyone!
Interests
I like to listen to music and spend a long time in front of my computer so that I can read news, learn new things (currently HTML code), have a talk with my friends who are living abroad.
I also dedicate time to learn Chinese. It is a completely different language system (compared with latin languages, of course) and ideograms are truly interesting to learn!
During the evening, I tend to watch some TV shows (my favourite ones: Doctor Who, Breaking Bad, Game Of Thrones) or interviews of my favourite actors. I am a cinephile and very found of Tim Burton, Spielberg, Tarantino, DC comics.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love metal, especially hard rock (Iron Maiden, Judas Priest) and progressive bands like Dream Theater, Opeth, Trivium. I also like symphonic metal, i.e Apocalyptica, Sonata Arctica.
I have no idea of what is my favourite movie, since there are so many I love! So let's just say: Corpse Bride, Batman The Animated series (I know, it's not a movie but definitely a masterpiece in my opinion), The Grand Budapest Hotel, The Boat That Rocked, Beetlejuice.
My number one favourite book is The Name Of The Rose (Umberto Eco, this awesome man who recently died :( ). I also like Stephen King and Dan Brown's books.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I had reached the top of Ben Lomond mountain when I was in Scotland, last year! The view was aaaaaawesome!
Teach, Learn, Share
I dedicate time to my friends to teach some language grammar when they are needy.
Right now, I am learning Chinese. I wish I would be good enough at it one day so that I can go on with learning languages, especially Finnish.
I like sharing with people on cultural aspects such as food habits, cultural values and behaviours.
What I Can Share with Hosts
If people are interested in French culture, here I am. I would be pleased to share cultural values and of course, cooking!
I can also help people in improving their English/French/Italian but I wouldn't feel like I am a teacher to our host. Moreover, I'm also here to learn from this experience by sharing!
I would be happy to spend time with my host and visit around with him/her, having his/her advice, sharing evenings, laughes and stories.
I would be pleased if I could help myself in hosting people. One day, who knows!
