"All" about me? Let me see...

- Well, I'm in love with cynicism, irony and sarcasm.
- I'm absolutely convinced that French wine is the best wine in the world.
- I've been a member of the Eclaireuses Eclaireurs de France (French secular scouting association) during 12 years, and it has changed my life, and my way of acting as a citizen.
- I might love cheese, wine and Georges Brassens, but I'm breton. And Brittany's NOT France. We're much cooler.
- 我是中国通š :D (Yeah, I'm slightly obsessed with China...)
- I love having conversations in three different languages at the same time.

I just found a (real grown-up) job in London, so I'm probably gonna be there for the next 2 or 3 years :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I started using Couchsurfing when i arrived in China, in september 2010. At this time i didn't know what i was gonna find. I think i was especially seeing the "free" aspect of the situation ! I discovered that it was much more than this.

I met friends i would never have met otherwise, visited places i would never have visited, did things i would never have done. Basically, Couchsurfing helped me to remember how great people can be. We tend to forget it ...

Interests

China is my passion, I'm in love with this country, its people, its history, its culture, its food, its language ...

Other HUGE passions are the French language, the sea, Breton culture and my beloved Bretagne (Brittany) and singing. I also really like reading, partying, theater, laughing, learning new foreign languages, politics, drinking good beer and having fun with friends. And even everything at the same time (Wanna talk about politics in foreign languages while drinking good beer ... ? Bring it!)

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies : The Boat that Rocked, Dances with wolves, Les chansons d'amour, Spirited away (and every single movie of Miyazaki), The departed, Un singe en hiver, Four weddings and a funeral, L'auberge espagnole, The perks of being a wallflower, anything by mister Wes Anderson ...

Books : La fée Carabine (Daniel Pennac, the best author in the world to my opinion), Balzac et la petite tailleuse chinoise (Dai Sijie) and To kill a mocking bird (Harper Lee), and many others (Pratchett, Pullman, Gaiman, Tolkien, Camus, Barricco, Prévert, Sylvain Tesson...) Books are my religion !

Music : I love French-speaking groups and singers like Debout sur le zinc, Les ogres de Barback, Babylon Circus, la Rue Kétanou, Mr Roux, Carmen Maria Vega, Constance Verluca, les Cowboys Fringants ... and many others ! I also really like breton traditional music and I grew up with Georges Brassens and sailor songs !

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

China is the most incredible thing I've ever seen.

Also, I spent two months on the Tibetan Plateau (in the south of Qinghai province) while I was doing an internship within an NGO. Going to Tibet had always been my dream, and it's always pretty amazing when dreams actually come true...

Teach, Learn, Share

First of all, i'm interested in any kind of language exchange, I can teach you French, help you with your Chinese (well, sort of...) and i'm always interested in learning a new language (i'd love to learn a bit more about Russian)

I know an huge amount of songs, I really love singing and teach songs to others so, if you have a musician soul, don't hesitate to ask !
Oh, and I can teach breton traditional dances to whoever is interested !
And I can sing you lullabies.

I'm a big foodie, I could spend my life eating and cooking, so if you teach me how to cook a dish from your country you'll instantly become my favorite person in the world.
