About Me

🙋🏽‍♀️ I am a nomad, a backpacker who is constantly discovering the world. I travel in often difficult conditions, sleeping outside, in shelters, or asking for hospitality. Above all, I love this freedom of life and my independence. I chose this life, which is wonderful and sometimes difficult. I like to live and travel off the beaten track.
I like to constantly push my limits.
I like to discover countries by meeting locals, and sharing real moments together.
This wealth that the nomadic life brings me is priceless: it is the richness of the heart, of values, of experiences.
💌 If you like my vibe and think we could get along well, feel free to add/talk me on instagram : @_mathilde.da
(I'm 25 yo but there was a bug on the app and I can't change)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I used to travel sleeping on beach, on the ground, in airport, in hostel, in a car or a van (when I am lucky enough to have a car I sleep in it). Sometimes, when I don't have a CS host and lodging, I sleep on the street, in train stations or on public benches. So, even if you think your flat is too small or not good enough for a guest, it's better than being homeless.
I am looking for a new way to travel, by encounters. And while Couchsurfing in several places in Australia, in the Pacific islands of Vanuatu, and in Japan, I noticed that the encounters I had there had marked me forever. Some of my guests have become true friends, and meeting them changed my life.

Where I stayed on Couchsurfing : 2 hosts in Australia (Sydney), 2 hosts in Vanuatu (Efate and Santo), 2 hosts in Japan (Tokyo and Kyoto), 3 hosts in Italy (Rome, Bologna, Turino), 1 host in England.
I was welcomed with hospitality
with 3 hosts in New Caledonia (Lifou) and 2 families in Australia and England.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you a lot of things I've seen and received in all my life experiences and travels if you take the time to discover me

I want to learn new ways of life and new ways to travel, I think there are as many ways to travel as there are ways to live on earth

I can share amazing moments, hiking, snorckling, eat together, I think couchsurfing is a wonderful community, I love making friends from all over the world

What I Can Share with Hosts

- I can offer you the most precious and priceless thing a human being can give : my time
- a smile
- a friendship
- share my travel experiences
- share my mistakes
- give tips for backpacking on a low budget
- make visits together
- have a meal or a drink together
- teach you french
- host you back in France or in french islands
- I can be your next travelling companion
- give you the contacts of my friends around the world, so that you too can be hosted by them
- I write a personal travel book about each of my trips. If sometimes I can't offer you much, you will at least have the merit of being part of the book of my life... ✨

!! Ps. To all the men who write to me to try to flirt with me and offer to sleep "in their bed" in exchange : you definitely don't have your place in the couchsurfer community. Your blackmail is awful you deserve to be banned. Question yourself, seriously. Gfy.
