Hi ! My name is Mathilde. I'm 19 years old. I'm a French student in Human sciences. I choose a carrer path in sustainable development. I'm a quite positive person because I know I live a beautful life with wonderful experiences and people around me. I try to enjoy it everyday ! I'm lucky enough to have travel a lot in different occasions and I want to take opportunities as much as possible to continue to do so !

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It would be my first experience on couchsurfing. Friends on mine have told me about couchsurfing arguing it results wonderful moments of sharing between people, culture, tastes or whatever. I would love to test it on myself because I think we can not really discover a country without meeting people. My most amazing trips were when I had the opportunity to share with inhabitants.

Interests

I'm a sport lover. I practice artistic roller skating in group for 11 years. It means a lot to me because it enable to improve artistic and technic skills along with my friends. I also had the honour to participate to European championships in Spain ! I'm also interested in others sports (especially mountain ones).
I would define myself as someone curious in every field. I love disovering and learning. I'm also curious about everything that could happen to me and I enjoy it . I like philosophy , arts and natuuuure !

Music, Movies, and Books

I like folk, rock and world songs. My favourite band is the Cat Empire. My favourite albums are "Grace" by Jeff Buckley and "Live at New York City, 1967" by Simon and Garfunkel. I love both of them for particular reasons.
My favorite movie is "Into the wild" (as many people in this planet) because I would like to have the courage to seize the opportunity to make such a long trip once in my life ! However, I would not eat a unknown berry !
I studied literature in intensive foundation degree for two years ad I learn to love books and to listen what those books have to tell me. My favorite is "Journal d'un corps" (Diary of a body) by French author Daniel Pennac. It's about the diary of the body of a men from his 11 years old to his death. It tells the feelings of a body, what we usually don't talk so much about.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

There is so much amazing things I'm luck enough to have done and that I cherish. If I have to choose one it would be to have spent some days in the Wadi Rum desert in Jordan. In addition to the walk around the mountains and the gorgeous landscapes, I met Bedouin who told me aout like in desert, their current issues and the traditionnal stories. I hope to remeber those days all my life.
