I probably say the same thing than you: I'm on Couchsurfing because it's the best way to meet amazing people of the world, share cultures and discover a country.
I go to Erasmus parties, Couchsurfing meetings & I greeted people from everywhere, my door is always open for everybody. I met many friends with CS when I travel.
