I am Mathis, a French guy who likes to meet people from around the world.
Rather easy-going, I'm a pretty laid back guy, enjoying long evening talks, shared meals, live music and walking around places.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I used CS quite a lot, especially as a traveller, and met many lovely and welcoming people.
These encounters made some of the warmest memories of my trip.

Now that I have a place suitable to host people, I'd like to give back and experience CS as a host !

I wish to share happiness, discover cultures, and export some "joie de vivre".

Here are a few :

Music: from classical rock to classical music, I also like jazz and ballads !
Movies: mostly independent cinema, but I enjoy animated or action movies to unwind
Books: some of my favourites authors are Victor Hugo, Terry Pratchett, Isaac Asimov, Charles Dickens, Jane Austen, Garcia Marquez ... I'd be super happy to take any recommendations !

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Not a specific highlight, but backpacking through SE asia was absolutely great, with a lot of new people on the way, and breathtaking scenery and cities (and food!).
