Hey, my name is Mathis and I was born and raised in the north of Germany.
So far I don't have a real clue what to do in my life apart apart from seeing as much of the world as I can but currently I'm studying and hope that this is going to help somehow.
As many people helped me by offering lifts, work, hosting me or just good experiences I want to give something back and host couchsurfers as well.
Also I'm trying to live a more or less sustainable life but there's still a lot of room for improvement.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because of the same reason like all the others I guess. I love travelling and meeting new people with different stories and inspiring lifestyles. So why shouldn't the internet be used for a good purpose for once :D
Couchsurfing definetley is a great opportunity to get to know locals and gives me hope that there are still a lot of open-minded people out there.

A christmas party in Vancouver with about 50 surfers who didn't know each other before

Breaking down in the middle of some big forrest near the russian border and hanging out there, making music until a local farmer, the only person who came by within a few hours, towed us with his tractor
