About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Enjoy life at the fullest.

ABOUT ME

I'm a down-to-earth and easy-going person and I like to learn about different cultures, explore new areas and do outdoor stuff.

I've been living in Wisconsin, USA for a year (2012/2013) as an exchange student. In 2015 I traveled in the US once again, did some hitchhiking, a road trip, etc. and then went on to Australia. Meeting a ton of amazing people, driving across the Outback and exploring rural National Parks with them was one of the most amazing things I've ever done. Camping hundreds of kilometers away from any civilization with a group of people from all over the world is an experience I'll never forget.

I studied engineering in Berlin and California and am now traveling through Mexico for a month (01/2020).

PHILOSOPHY

Happiness is only real when shared.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I hitchhiked from NYC to Chicago in 2015 with a guy I met on couchsurfing. Four years later, I met up with him in LA. Couchsurfing offers a platform to connect with amazing people from around the globe.
There is no way you can experience a culture and get to know a country by staying in a hotel as good as you can staying with locals. The culture you can experience in a hotel or in the streets is only the tip of the iceberg.
I want to meet cool people when traveling or hosting.

I just think staying with locals is the very best way to experience the culture especially in the non-western world.
Additionally, locals can show you around or tell you cool places to go to.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I really enjoy meeting other couchsurfers or attending CS events when traveling or at home.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I surfed in NYC and, as I said, went on an awesome hitchhike trip with somebody I met on CS. I used CS to stay with and meet people in the U.S., Fiji, Austrailia and Europe which was awesome and hosted a few people when my living situation would allow it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I hitchhiked from NYC to Chicago with a fellow couchsurfer and it was awesome. We ended up driving with very ... let's say "interesting" people.
And also visiting some of the amazing National parks in Australia. Stunning.
Camping on a summit (Clouds Rest) in Yosemite.
Traveling through Mexico.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you some ukulele basics and also how to whistle with an acorn or anything that has a similar shape.. That's all I can think of right now. Oh, and by the way: Please start a request with "Hey Hey Hey!" to show me that you've read my profile and don't just send a copy&paste message.
