ABOUT ME

I may describe myself like a passionate person (although sometimes a little shy), and friends told me that one of my best attributes is my initiative. I have been lucky enough to travel to different places in the world with some fan stories to share, however, there are still so many places to know and to see in the world.

I had finished my mechanical engineer studies in Chile last year, and currently I am a predoctoral student at KU Leuven, Belgium. I really like my career, because of that I decided to dedicate my future in research and development in Chile.

I am huge fan of Football, specially of Universidad de Chile FC (Best team ever from Chile), and Liverpool FC.

Finally, I am really grateful of my family (my parents and my sister), and my friends that i can rely on (for me loyalty is one of the most importants things in life).

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

It's always nice to meet new people, and it would be amazing to share our different cultures.

Currently I am living at Leuven (Belgium) living with an italian roomate, and this is a incredible new experience for me, because I have just started to live here, so i am looking forward to meet new people and different cultures.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

When I was living in Sheffield with 3 more Chilean's friends through Vicente's couchsurfing account hosted two french guys at January 2014, we had a really good time, knowing Sheffield and hanging around, and they even stay more time than expected.

And during that experience I had the opportunity of travelling around Europe staying in different places thanks to the couchsurfing experiences. Now that i am back in Europe, i hope to had those experiences again!

Intereses

Now, my principal interest is to travel as much as I can, know different cultures and beautiful places. Enjoy, hanging out and meets lots of new people and cities.

And as i wrote before, I like to know a lot of different sports, specially tennis (I had played when I was younger) and football. Again I am a huge fan of Universidad de Chile, and since i lived in UK, also from Liverpool FC, moreover, one of my favorite hoobies is going to the stadium to see a nice match.

Música, películas y libros

I had played piano for 6 years, when i was a child, and now I am returning to practice with my melodica that i bring from Chile, I am encouraging myself to learn more music now! hopefully new instruments, but one step at the time.

I like to hear music a lot, specilly my favorite bands: The Beatles, and Pastillas del Abuelo. However, I usually like different kinds of music (from clasical music to cumbia chilena ahahhaha).

I love reading, I think you can expand your imagination through reading. Currently i am reading the dark tower series of Stephen king (I am in the book 3), and "Futbol a sol y sombra" of Eduardo Galeano. I had also read Harry Potter saga, the song of ice and fire saga, and i have a lot of books in my lists after finishing the ones i am reading (You will see if you come to my home).

About movies and series, I am a movie and series fan. I am constantly looking for movies to see, my favorite ones are fight club, star wars series, and batman the dark night.

Algo increíble que he hecho

the south of Chile is amazing! I had the opportunity of seeing it with my family and backpacking with friends, I will love to show you pictures of these landscapes that are really awesome. Hopefully after seeing that you will want to visit Chile!!

Coming to Europe the last time was living a dream for me, for example, going to liverpool where my favorite band started and watch the game liverpool 5 arsenal 1 at the anfield stadium (February 2014) was awesome.

I had the opportunity of traveling a lot through Europe and South America, I am hoping of travelling to asia this year or the coming years, to get new experiences!

Enseña, aprende, comparte

I want to share some of the chilean culture, to show some of the beautiful places my country have. Culture and sports conversations for me are an excelent way of sharing knowledge.

Despite the fact i was never good at history subject in school. I will be really glad of hearing about the different stories that involves a particular city or country, like kinds of architecture or some ruins are always interesting to learn.
I had read Sapiens, a book that open my mind in the way to look about the history of the places.
I would love to learn different languages besides spanish and english, like german for example (my last name supposed to be german xD)
