About Me
Hi! My name is Matias and I'm Finnish, terve! Living nowadays by the border of Finland and Russia in South Carelia. I'm a relaxed open minded human being phenomenon learning to let go, relax and smile with everything wishing all beings happiness and peace.
I have lived in small communities in Finland mostly around Turku offering a place to stay for many. Most of last year (2022) I spent in a new school learning primitive offgrid living. Now moved to a new countryside home continuing this lifestyle. I also spend a lot of time meditating or contemplating the Buddha Dhamma.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like to notice the music of life with all the voices supporting the beauty of silence and to read or listen to meditation Dhamma talks, nature documents or something else deeply relaxing or insightful widening our understandings.
Have also had a fair share of mostly western culture in various forms and been a fan of various things in the past. I have found much meaningful contribution to enriching the life of me and my surroundings from in example the book "Nonviolent Communication: A Language of Life" and youtube/audiobook workshop lectures of Marshall B. Rosenberg.
Nowadays I enjoy especially to learn early Buddhist wisdom by studying the original teachings of the Buddha (Suttas). For beginning or finding new perspective to your meditation I can recommend A Guide to Tranquil Wisdom Insight Meditation by Bhante Vimalaramsi (available in many languages) or other books by him or his students: Ven. Sister Khema (The Nevermind Game), David Johnson (The Path to Nibbana), Acariya Delson Armstrong (A Mind Without Craving), Doug Kraft ("The Buddha's Map", etc), Bhante Candana (The Manual), Bhante Ānanda (Open Heart).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Countless amazing things depending on what you think is amazing. What really matters imho are the times I have helped others and received help from many wonderful beings. One such time was being helped to overcome my fear of being underwater and then to even dance with others underwater truly being more at ease in the water element.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can hopefully give some insight into something about my interests like for example finding inner peace by living harmoniously, being grounded and remembering to have childlike wonder and curiosity.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Listening to them, a helping hand and sharing some stories or experiences. Relaxed and accepting company. Guided meditations. Can possibly also offer help and company for visiting nearby places. Be it nature spots, hikes or for example smoke sauna.
For mundane traveling things I recommend this low cost international currency transfer service and debit card by Wise (TransferWise)
