ABOUT ME

I'm a french traveler and I mostly enjoy speaking English during my trips. That's the reason why I manage to visit as often as possible English speaking countries. So far, I've been to Canada, USA, Ireland and Great Britain.
Few years back, when I was working as a camera assistant in Africa, I strongly felt that my work wasn't enough useful for others, that my career was only profited myself. I needed to give back. Then, when I came back to France, I became a fire fighter, I joined a Paramedic association for volonteer work and I also joined the French Red Cross in their social support division. All of these activities and jobs were absolutely fulfilling and I learned so much about others and myself.
Now, I need to hit the road again, as I'm also passionnate by long autonomous treks, and I chose New Zealand to do so, because of the variety of landscapes and nature, but most of all because I'm impressed by the philosophy of Maoris and "Kiwis", about the way they conceive habitats, about their feeling of nature...

PHILOSOPHY

I feel that we do too many actions in our lives with no sense at all. My goal is to keep the non sense to the minimum, to live completly and freely, with no regrets.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

When I'm traveling, and when my hosts like food, I love to prepare french and italian dishes (because I have italian roots).

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

With my last couch surfer who hosted me for almost a month in San francisco (because it went so well), we used to go in bars, restaurants, do some car trips, and other sightseeings.
When I get along with somebody, it's always nice to go out.
Long story short, I always experienced great trips with couch surfers.

Interests

I love to go hiking, nature and great landscapes, I'm sporty, so I always enjoy outdoors activities. And I'm of course passionnate by Cinema, Photography, Architecture... Well... arts !
But I'm always interested in things I don't know or I've never experienced, It's refreshing and kind of a challenge to experience something new on a regular basis.

Music, Movies, and Books

That's the hardest thing to do, choose some movies, books or musics I like. There's so many and I can't write an exhaustive list here. But you know what ? If I have the chance to meet you, I'm gonna share it with you.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I remember once, when I was in Italy, I was really alone in Sicily an I didn't know if I would find someone who can host me. It was magical in a way I can't explain because I met a great old woman who hosted me and made meet her family as a friend. At least, I was practically a member of the family because they offered me presents (it was a Christmas party), and during the rest of the trip, the grandchildren hosted me as a cousin. It was amazing !

Teach, Learn, Share

In France I'm also a french teacher (when I'm not volonteering as Fire Fighter or Paramedic), so if you're interesting in speaking french, I can totally teach you. If you're interesting in photography or filming that's a thing I could do either. Same thing to learn how to cook french or italian dishes !

What I Can Share with Hosts

Culinary tips, photography advice, and sharing music and movie interests. But most of all, sharing with a capital "s" in great conversations, with different personnalities, cultures, and really connecting.
