About Me

Half Italian, half British, grew up in Paris, now living in Canada.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to travel and meet people, I'm looking for a more authentic experience than the usual touristy one, and I also have a student's wallet... i.e. mostly empty. I'm still new here but will consider hosting if my roommate is fine with it!

Interests

Food and music (making them and enjoying them), visual arts, movies and film-making, photography, cognitive sciences, space, travelling, languages, discovering new cultures... And open to discovering new interests!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Anything from folk to dnb through rap and psychedelic rock: Pink Floyd, Modest Mouse, Beirut, anything involving Damon Albarn, Gramatik, Camo & Crooked, Slow Magic, Radiohead, Laura Marling, Massive Attack, Passenger...

Books: The Namesake, anthing by Zweig, the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy...

Movies: Beasts of the Southern Wild, La Meglio Gioventu, Et Maintenant On Va Où... TV: Dr Who, Sherlock, Arrested Development, House of Cards, IT Crowd...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've walked 300km+ from France to Spain through the Pyrenees (on the camino). During that time I got chased by bulls, walked he wrong way through the mountains and ended up in a mysterious nunnery, lived for a few days with no money, and met wonderful people from all over the world.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'll show you around Montréal, the wonderful city I've had the chance to live in for the past two years (if I do end up hosting). I'm qualified to teach English as a second language, French is my first language so I can help with that too, and I'm trying to improve my Spanish. If you're a musician, I'd love to jam! I also rant a lot about social issues and love big talks involving philosophy and/or science.
