Overview
About Me
I started traveling since 13 years old without my parents. My late Dad had always been telling me stories about his travel. He doesn’t understand a single bit of English, hence didn’t manage any where out of Asia. He always dreamt that I can bring him along to Europe one day. But I didn’t get the chance
Like my Late Dad, I have always wanted to see the world. But after his death when I turn 21 years old, I was the sole breadwinner taking care of my mom and younger brother. Life has been tough till recent years that my younger brother finally started working while he cope better with his depression.
I thought it’s time I can let go and with this little savings I have to start traveling, exploring different cultures, experience different seasons and climate. Most importantly to grow in wisdom and spirituality.
I’m a certified Optometrist but during my midlife crisis, I switched to become a Fitness Club Manager (check out my photos and you will know which fitness club, it’s quite a popular brand). I’m also a Freelance Sports Massage therapist , working freelance allow me save up more $$$ to travel in search of an enlightenment for what life is and one day to meet my father.
He once told me in my dreams, “you can’t come to my side yet”.
Update: November 2023
After traveling since Feb 2023, I am grateful to meet several hosts from Couchsurfing and other Facebook group platforms. I have made new friends and will continue to connect. It’s about time to go home and trying to end my last leg of my travel after a hiatus in Scotland. I left Singapore with a single, found love in a foreign land and returning home with a engaged status with my Scottish partner, Graeme. We both love traveling and decided to start our journey first by visiting Turkey. I would love to introduce to Graeme our Asia culture as this will be his first time.
We planning to travel for at least a month or 2 in ASEAN before going back Singapore to be work slaves again in February saving up for the next vagabond.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Hopeful to learn more about your local culture, meet your friends and family. Understand how life can be wonderful around the world.
I would love to learn about your interest, your food, your culture, your country’s history, learn how to commute in the local way by bus, train, motorbike and car to visit local places.
I want to bring to my grave without any regrets but a life full of memories with meeting meaningful people, like you, all over the world.
I’m planning to travel extensively from February 2023 starting from Norway, if I can managed longer even to South America. In hope that I’ll be able to meet kind souls along the way to share with me your life experiences and vision. ^ Of course for now, I’m continuing the long travel plan with a plus one from Scotland.
If you do have any tips on how to do it better, with a good budget or ways to work to earn some living expenses would be great.
Please give me and Graeme a buzz and chat with us. 😊🙏🏼
^ Couchsurfing is not the way Graeme traveled and I would really love to share with him this community that I enjoyed. The love of traveling should be shared.
Please don’t feel offended if I don’t accept your friend request as I try to limit that to people whom I have personally met and personal contact number to be private till if we plan to meet and keep things simple and relevant on Couchsurfing app.
Interests
Used to intensively SCUBA dive a decade ago, leading trips and certify new divers. I still love the sports, just not the priority for now.
I enjoyed the outdoors especially hiking and trekking, Singapore is a small country to hike, trail walk/run is only about 10-20km, if we need to do an ultra here, maybe repeat 5 times? 🤔 Our highest nature hill for hike? Summit @ 163m, our highest building now is standing 290m, maybe climbing the stairs will be a better concrete hike up.
I really love the idea of outdoor camping but the weather is too hot in Singapore but the major set back is… only limited area for pitching tents and we need to apply permits.
I have always been a mathematic/science/logic person who doesn’t believe in fortune telling or Fengshui but age and life experience is slowly changing me for sure. I’m now learning Reiki Healing for self and I hope to practice along the way.
I’m always ready to explore new experiences and call a new hobby, my interest. Life is too short to always stick with that few interest.

Music, Movies, and Books
Documentaries mostly on animals, food, travel and culture. I prefer digital books, audiobooks and podcast on non-fiction stories, lately I’ve read Vagabonding
Music… is something I used to listen when I’m traveling to work. I listen from meditative nature relaxing sounds, jazz, classical, cafe, lo-fi, deep house to EDM. Just not heavy metal…
Now, I want to listen to the music that you enjoyed in your language too.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Outdoor rock climbing in Mount Arapiles, camping outdoors in the cold. The night sky with shooting stars is amazing and the laughter from neighboring gipsy tents are my favorite. -> yes I enjoy hiking and camping.
(I’m a little nervous with heights by the way)
I will let Graeme share with you in person his most amazing thing he has done
Teach, Learn, Share
I can share my limited knowledge with basic anatomy of our eyes, body conditions and skills for massaging and trigger Point release for muscle aches or sports related injury.
At the same time I’m more than willing to obtain more wisdom. spiritually and intellectually.
I’m not so much about cooking world cuisines but I can eat if you can cook but of course, I want to learn if you can teach😅
What I Can Share with Hosts
