About Me
Wow, to this day I don't know how to answer this without feeling like I'm being a narcissist guys 😅🙆♂️🤷♂️. Simply put, I caught a serious case of the travel bug cause now I understand why Eve ate that forbidden fruit from the garden of Eden, these things are addictive 😭, just like traveling and here I am moving to Europe now.
I'm a very open minded person who respects people's opinions. I love meeting people who are different from me because they open up my mind. Funny how I used to be an introvert and I've come to realise that I like making friends, and enjoy a good conversation, be it about something educational or something stupid that'll have us laughing then count me in. I love to compare and contrast my culture with other people's because it provides an awesome learning opportunity.
I just like talking and throwing myself into new experiences in a nutshell. I think the rest is easy to see through interactions 😅, but generally I'm a nice dude 👌, you should check out my Yelp reviews.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
It is nice to visit a place and be toured around by a tour guide while seeing that place's monuments. Being a tourist is not my thing because you miss out on so much about a place. I want to visit places and get the local experience; experience life from the perspective of a local person. Sure I still want to go sight seeing like the tourist I am 🧐, but for me the most important thing is understanding how people live in a place that I visit.
I'm on couchsurfing to make friends as I've made it my mission to have international friends. I've had the opportunity to interact with people who are different from me in terms of race, language, religion etc. and the conversations I've had with them continue to build me, and I find that to be a beautiful thing. Couchsurfing provides a platform for me to meet people who will contribute positively to my life. Ideally, I'd like to find people to host too when the time comes.
Interests
Oh wow, where do I begin 🤔. I mean, I haven't been exposed to half the things as most people cause of the area I grew up in, but in a nutshell I like trying out new things, ideally I'd like to try hiking, skiing, camping, all the works cause I've never done those. Outside that I just like to attempt languages, learn about different cultures and just grow and of course a conversation about the human brain or human behavior always gets the motor running.

Music, Movies, and Books
My genres of music are: soul, blues, jazz, EDM, some Indie and pop. I don't listen to a lot of music, but those genres are what I normally listen to, but any song outside those genres with a good beat and lyrics I can listen to.
Books I've read: rich dad poor dad, the da Vinci code, the fault in our stars, 5 people you meet in heaven and quiet. I barely read as much because I just don’t know how to make time for it 😩.
Movies: I've watched too many, but common genres are comedy, thriller, action and some fantasy (huge Harry Potter fan, gave me my childhood cause I’m that kind of nerd 🤓)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Roundhouse kicked an old lady. Haha, okay I joke. Moved to the U.S without any family member accompanying me, and on top of that I’m out here touring the US alone lol, it’s way cooler than it sounds; forces you to get outside your comfort zone. I know they said 1 but I like living life dangerously like that, which is why I did New Year’s Eve in Time Square New York; never doing that again cause I probably survived frostbite 🤔
Teach, Learn, Share
It’s funny how people hear “South Africa” or “Africa” in general and they think you are a survivor of stage four of malnutrition; I can tell you now that poverty exists, but it does not begin to explain life in Africa.
Along with that, I would share my upbringing and hope that you share yours, cause I’m oddly enough interested in learning about people’s upbringing to see just how different or similar life is for people.
I hope to learn about the differences in lifestyle, attitude, mindset and everything possible between me and someone from a different country; learn about what they consider to be their culture.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I will share with you my culture and stories of what is it like to grow up in Africa because I have come to learn that there's a lot of misconception around Africa and its people's way of life. Also I'll teach you how to pronounce my name 😅 and teach you some click words from one of the languages spoken in my home country.
