ABOUT ME
I'm a mechanic, I love to drive, and I love the outdoors. When I'm not working most of my time here is spent hiking, snowboarding, driving, or barbequing. I listen to a lot of music and attempt to build motorcycles in my spare time. I like good beer and talktative people. I'm fairly reserved, but spark a conversation or give me whiskey and I probably won't shut up. I like coffee in the morning and after lunch, I like waking up early and making breakfast, even after a raging party I'm usually the first to wake up, and generally, I'm probably one of the most laid back people you'll ever meet. I can either spend my time alone or with groups of people, I enjoy traveling by myself, however, and meeting people along the way, makes me feel a little less restricted.
PHILOSOPHY
So I read "Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenence" while riding a train and I was by myself in a 6 person cabin from Zurich to Vienna after I had overdrafted my bank account in Florence and still had to get to Frankfurt and all I could think about was the Zen sayings on Yogi Tea bags.
"Empty yourself and let the universe fill you"
"Listen and you will develop intuition"
"Man is as vast as he acts"
"Travel light, live light, spread the light, be the light"
So I learned Zen philosophy and calmness by drinking green tea.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Fantastic.
Everyone I have met has just been really cool, and couchsurfing has opened up my eyes to a new form of travel, and completely infected me with the travel bug.
Interessi
I love: all modes of transportation, coffee, the great outdoors, cowboy bebop, reading in the morning, sunday morning hangovers, the occasional wake and bake, building snowmen, snowboards and skateboards, parties, sleeping in, walking, running, swimming, and i love to cook too.
i hate: having to work 10 hour days to support my travel habit. but it's a necessary evil, and i deal.

Musica, film e libri
Music: Lupe Fiasco, Nine Inch Nails, Spoon, Olivia Ruiz, Yelle, Mickey Avalon, The Clash, Ramones, Dead Kennedy's, Streetlight Manifesto, Brother Ali, Johnny Cash, Social Distortion... A lot of others, that should give the basic idea of what I like tho..
Books: Kerouac, Vonnegut, "Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenence", anything that changes the way I look at things.
Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto
I wandered through Europe alone for a month, well, never really alone, but by myself.
I was lost but I found myself and then I found myself lost, which was my goal.
I'm fairly shy and reserved, so throwing myself into a situation where I had to open up, that was amazing. Everything seen and done, every person I met, definitely had an impact.
I'm sure that most of the people that read this have had something similar happen, and that's why we do it, because there's a lot in this world. I want to experience as much of it as I can.
