ABOUT ME

G'day visitor. I'm Matt, Matthias with full name but this turned out to be quite tricky to pronounce for english speaking people. I'm doing a PhD in Climate Sciences at the University of Bern. I'm traveling as much as possible but if I'm not currently exploring the beauty of the world I'm happy to show you around in Bern instead. Because I'm currently living in a shared accommodation, unfortunately, I cannot provide a couch as of yet... However, I'd be happy to show you where the best cheese and chocolate is to be bought in the swiss capital! ;-)
I'm a passionate cyclist, hiker, outdoor guy and sometimes a tennis player so if you're up for some sports while you're in Bern, let me know! ;)

Couchsurfing is just a truly great institution, where hospitality meets the desire to travel. I simply want to be part of this!

I always enjoy Movies and Music with or from Tom Waits. Moreover I'm quite a big fan of all 1920ies and 1930ies and I also really like Jazz. But I'm always eager to get to know some new sounds... So don't hesitate to bring your sound - it surely will be appreciated!

Algo increíble que he hecho

Hiked the Cordillera Blanca in the central Andes. Camping underneath the Majestic Huascaran North. Truly awesome!
