CURRENT MISSION
*** I'm spending time in Innsbruck. Austria, so cannot host for the moment***
...
ABOUT ME
Grew up in Sweden in a kind of place that makes you want to travel. Initially went to US for a high school year, worked in Stockholm for another, and finally moved to Paris - the city of light, where curious and openminded blend indiscriminately. I'm adaptable and easy-going, and enjoy travelling light on all continents...
PHILOSOPHY
Try to stay in love, especially with your self
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've hosted many travellers but there are long periods when I'm 'not accepting requests' since I'm out travelling or otherwise can't host. I'm also on warmshower dot org, a community hosting cyclists from around the world. You are probably comfort independent and self sustained if you make a couch-request at my place. I have met some brilliant and fun loving people here on CS, and I really appreciate the concept of meeting and if possible helping travellers seeking new experiences, and share some old ones together.
WARNING!
I can't guarantee a room available since I'm out travelling myself so much. Also please don't make any request for dates beyond one week ahead, right now I can't commit to being at home to open the door for you on special dates in advance, so last minute requests works best. I don't expect you to bring gifts or do me any particular favours, but if you absolutely feel you must bring something, grab a drink, beer, or something to eat. In case you feel like cooking something , I'm vegetarian.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
So far I've only participated in various events on CS, and I also benefited from crashing a few couches, but I guess I'm a little afraid I may disturb my host by arriving late etc. Now however I decided it's time to stop being shy and to make more couch requests myself
Interests
I'm adventureous, sporty, and enjoy reading books and listening (sometimes playing) music. I can be impulsive and like a last minute "into the wild" w/e, preferrably a camping trip, cycle trip to get fresh air. At the same time I enjoy art expos and concerts and events thats happening wherever I go. I love (but sometimes hate) Paris in July and August when workers go for summer leave. In winter I can be seen dancing, language learning, vegetating etc. I like places were possibilities are outnumbered by my abilities, it's addictive, so it's also important to take a break from it to fully appreciate it, I am fortunate enough to be able to spend half my time in Paris and half elsewhere which I find a healthy mix .

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: Into the wild, English sit-com, comedy
Music: right now to mention just one, Lisa Gerrard and deadcandance, and I like to check out newcoming indie artists, oldtimers like Chet Baker, anything but rap really ...
Also trying to play my ukulele and guitar, and sometimes even the piano when I come across one
Books: I read depending on my mood, impossible to list it here but right now I'm reading norse god bed time stories...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Climbed high mountains like Elbrus in Russia, Denali in Alaska, Aconcagua in Argentina. Cyclo toured in the french alps, the pyrenees, in the norway fjords... Had some amazing back country skiing experiences in the French, Italian and Suisse alps. One amazing thing I'm planning to do is Paris - Tokyo on a bicycle.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm doing volunteer work for the Red Cross, and I might teach one day, maybe english, as a volunteer or paid teacher.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Ermh, how about sharing my philosophy 'ask not what the host can do for you, but what you can do for your host'. And some of my mulled wine perhaps, or my home made falafels.
