About Me

Talk is cheap. Names Matt. I'm from Wales. Yes it's an animal but education will enlighten you to the fact it's a country also. I'm a film maker. A designer. I pretend I'm an athlete just so I can wear spandex. I've travelled more than most but less than I'd like. I've worked onboard cruise ships worldwide, I've worked on feature films, and tried acting in them as well. I've walked across the Panama Canal locks, wrestled with a monkey over banana in Costa Rica, swam with great whites and met an Eskimo in his element.

After my last bout of adventures I've decided to focus more on work, as I love what I do, and to travel on the side like the average joe. Alas I need some thing more exciting since I've step back momentarily from globetrotting; hence my profile. I hope to create mini adventures through this app whether it be Couchsurfing or just hanging with cool local people.

My travels have taught me that to find joy in our lives we must experience the world in as many ways possible. Couchsurfing.... Let's go.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've been a traveller since 2011 and it's about time I tried this concept.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach computer skills, yawn. I used to be a programmer until I quit to become a wanderer. Want to learn How to use a camera like a pro? Design web, print or brands for anything and everything? Pointless facts about wildlife? Then I'm your man. I also dabble in filmmaking, time lapses, graphic design, scriptwriting and art.

I've been an athlete most of my life and as a result do a number of outdoor activities. Hiking, paddle boarding, jet skiing, biking, running, camping, if anyone needs a guide or advice I'm your man.

I have some bizarre travel stories and general life tales. I'm a magnet for Murphy's law.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Cleaning, cooking and Hoe downing abilities will be shared openly. I'm a tea expert so I'll for sure bring some blends for us all to sample in the morning, or night of course. If you want me to bring beers then that's more than fine as well. I'm Welsh so you've been warned the effects are minimal on me. We're a hardy nation. Well Kind of. Not really.
