I have studied Mandarin in Taipei for over a year and half. Recently, I decided to move to Hualien to experience a difference pace of life in Taiwan. I can't host because I live in a hostel in exchange for a helping hand, but definitely down to meet up and hangout!

I've done travel staying in hostels and the like, and I do really enjoy meeting the variety of people you encounter in those places, but it seems to me that this generally limits the people you meet to other foreigners. Couchsurfing seems like a great way to meet and hang with the locals.

I teach English for a living. I'm trying to learn Mandarin, I'll fit Spanish in eventually. One day guitar, another sailing. So many things to learn, I wish I had started sooner and had better discipline.
