Overview
About Me
I'm an American college student currently studying abroad in Montpellier France. I'm currently working on two undergraduate degrees - one in International Relations, and one in French. I grew up in Webster, NY, where my only international travel experience was just across the Canadian border to Niagara Falls, so the ability to hop on a train and be in a new country is pretty alien to me, but also absolutely incredible.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm trying to do as much traveling as possible while living in Europe. The reason I'm couch surfing is that I really want to integrate with locals when I visit a new place. I hate sticking out as an American tourist. There are so many cool things to see that you can only learn about by making friends with locals.
Interests
I sing a lot. Music is a huge passion of mine. At home, I sing tenor in my university's auditioned chorus. We are actually going on tour in Italy in May of 2016, which is something I'm incredibly proud of. I also sing with two different campus a cappella groups. One, called Exit 8, is co-ed, while to other, Southside Boys, is an all male group.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music:
I'm a depressing Indie music sob fest fan. I love passionate music, and I find that lesser known artists seem to put out the most raw music (god I'm such a filthy hipster.)
Movies:
I love dramas. I think my favorite recent movie was Gone Girl. It was just one punch in the gut after another. I find that if a movie is clearly a grab for an Oscar, I'll PROBABLY like it.
Books:
I don't get to do nearly enough reading, but I love me some sci-fi/fantasy. I've always been a voracious reader. Right now I'm rereading Ender's Game, but in French.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I'm an Eagle Scout.
I am currently spending the academic year studying abroad.
During my last major trip I hit 5 cities in 4 cities over the course of 12 days.
-Paris
-Warsaw
-Krakow
-Prague
-London
Myself and 4 friends packed ourselves into a hatchback we named Klaus and drove from Montpellier, France, to Oktoberfest in Munich.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love to share my passion for travel and music with other people. We can practice speaking English or French (although most people I've met in Europe already seem better at both).
I've also been told I'm a passable chef? Id like to think so.
What I Can Share with Hosts
A friendly, respectful, and open minded person. Although that's only if I bring a friend along (Kidding!) I would do my best to facilitate some cultural exchange and make new friends if possible!
