Overview
About Me
I am an architecture student, currently studying in Nova Scotia, Canada. My specific interest lies in public buildings + projects, historic architecture/architectural conservation, and maritime architecture of the North Atlantic Ocean. I'm also an avid cyclist, speed skater, photographer, and ethnographer. I really love coffee, wine, whisky, cooking, and food/restaurants in general.
My Background and Life:
I am originally from St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada (an island on the far east coast of Canada). I studied in university for almost 9 years. My undergraduate at Memorial University of Newfoundland was a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and Folklore (double major). My second bachelor was at Dalhousie University in Nova Scotia in Environmental Studies (architectural), and I'm currently in my Masters of Architecture at Dalhousie University.
I am heavily interested in life, culture, and architecture of the North Atlantic Rim (North Atlantic Ocean). I've been very interested in the east of Canada, and have been branching out in the past 3 years to visit Norway, Iceland, Magdalen Islands, Faroe Islands, and would love to continue this quest. This is an interest in the architecture, fundamentally, but also the way of life. You could also say I'm interested in other islands :)
As an additional note, I am also very into wine. In fact, in 2011-2012 I was studying wine and I'm certified with ISG (International Sommelier Guild) at Level Two.
