About Me

Currently traveling Spain...Solo sé un poco de español 🙄

Hey! My name is Matt, and I'm a recent graduate of Worcester State University in Massachusetts. I have a passion for videos and photography. I love being active and immersing myself in a new place with new people. Routine is no fun.

I studied abroad in Australia in 2014, and it completely changed my life...I now want to combine my passion for video with my newfound love for travel.

Meeting and enjoying the company of others makes travel worthwhile.

Favorite Travel Quotes:

“The man who goes alone can start today; but he who travels with another must wait till that other is ready.” – Henry David Thoreau

“Once in a while it really hits people that they don’t have to experience the world in the way they have been told to.” – Alan Keightley

“Investment in travel is an investment in yourself.” ~ Matthew Karsten

“So many people live within unhappy circumstances and yet will not take the initiative to change their situation because they are conditioned to a life of security, conformity, and conservatism, all of which may appear to give one peace of mind, but in reality nothing is more damaging to the adventurous spirit within a man than a secure future. The very basic core of a man's living spirit is his passion for adventure. The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.”

― Christopher McCandless

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In August, I traveled to Ecuador with several professors to live with an indigenous tribe in the Amazon Rainforest. I was appointed as the videographer for the trip. It was an incredibly eye-opening and humbling experience.
