About Me

I am a soon-to-be-graduated student of Environmental and Soil Science (graduating May of 2016) and will be traveling for 7 months after graduating with my girlfriend, Madison (a graduating student of Journalism). We have been traveling together for three years now (mostly doing outdoor sports like backpacking, climbing, and mountain biking) and cannot wait to begin exploring Europe! We have spent the last two summers doing work-share styled work: in 2014 we spent the summer living and working right outside of Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming and in 2015 we volunteered for a nonprofit in Haiti.

My passion is the outdoors, so most of my travel goals are to reach beautiful natural areas. However, I also love immersing myself in a new culture and surrounding myself with new languages. I'm very courteous and quiet and would be a gracious guest to anyone willing to offer me a couch!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To see the world! (Classic answer, I know). For me, though, it is true in many ways but really I am looking to Couchsurf in order to meet local people in the incredible places I am traveling. Traveling to me is much more than pretty sights and pictures to take home, I want to make friends with the people I stay with and have them someday visit me at my own home.

My girlfriend and I are working our way around Europe (and maybe beyond) for the months of June-December 2016 and will be WWOOFing along the way. afford to pay for lodging. We will be spending most of our time at WWOOF farms, but in between farms and in major cities we will depend on Couchsurfing to get by. We are not afraid of sleeping on the floor!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Over the past four years I've gone on a road trip every time there has been at least a week off school. In doing so I've racked up some majorly long distance driving records. My longest drive was 35+ hours straight from Western Oregon to Tennessee.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have some basic photography knowledge but a lot of passion for it. I am interested in learning new languages and sharing stories of wilderness experiences and travel tales.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A love for travel and stories from home! I am so excited to begin to meet new friends from around the world and to share in the joy of traveling with them.

MORE THAN HAPPY TO CLEAN AND DO CHORES

Countries I’ve Visited

Bahamas, Haiti, Mexico
