I grew up in southern Ontario where I got a bachelors degree in sociology and an ESL teaching certification. Going out into the world and interacting with new people is what drives me. Travel is in my blood, and I plan on keeping it that way. That could all change, though... especially if I do something stupid like run out of money or fall in love. I play drums and guitar... I love music, or anything that involves creativity/design.

I once shot a golf ball off the Great Wall of China. I've climbed two volcanoes. I've participated in an indigenous peoples festival at sun moon lake in Taiwan. Went snorkelling in Bali. Played a live gig in Beijing. Explored the temples of Angkor wat. Watched the northern lights from a backroad hot spring in Iceland. Was a guest on a radio show in Sweden where I talked about the Canadian music scene. Slept under the stars on a secluded Croatian beach. Helped restore a palace in Poland.

I can teach you guitar if you'd like :). I can also help you to brush up on your English skills or any of the basics of the languages I have listed on my profile. I'm an experienced cook, so I would love to make some food together! I give a great massage, too. Can give you travel tips for any of the countries that I have visited
