Overview
About Me
In college, I got my first taste of traveling abroad and a developing country all at once. I was instantly hooked. After graduating, I got a job in Ghana, West Africa and then from there I went to Laos, SE Asia. The lessons I've gained since being abroad have been inspiring, so I won't be going to live in the U.S. anytime soon.
My next adventure will be to take an extended time off from work to explore the world and myself. I'll start with China and end somewhere between my my life's passion and a new job.
Here's a quote that sums up who I am and who I want to become: “The Planet does not need more successful people. The planet needs more pacemakers, healers, restorers, storytellers, and lovers of all kind.” - D.L.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to learn from locals and expats what it is like to live in their area. I want to know about what the daily life is like and try to get the best idea of it for myself. Money and attractions aside, I'm using Couchsurfing to meet genuine people and share some stories. I want to learn from other's experiences and passions and open my mind to a new experience.

Music, Movies, and Books
I have a very eclectic music taste from Tupac, India Arie, and Sam Cooke to the Eagles, Incubus, and Norah Jones. My interest falls on the music that has a soul, a story, and something for me to use as my mantra to help me digest life.
Some of my tops are Forest Gump, The Mexican, Princess Bride, Austin Powers, Band of Brothers, I Love You Man, Finding Nemo, True Lies, and so so many more.
Watchers, Davinci Code, the Shinning, Harry Potter, many books on Buddhism, etc.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hitchhiked about 3500 km across China without knowing much more than a few basic phrases of the language.
Teach, Learn, Share
