About Me

I'm a fun and friendly 27 year-old musician / producer / dj, cycling, skateboarding, rock climbing, yoga enthusiast. I'm Half-German, half-American and I speak English and Spanish pretty well, I'm conversational in German, and I'm learning French.

I'm a responsible, respectful adult and a very conscientious house guest and my partner, Emilie is an angel - you'll love her. She's a half-French, half-American artist, singer/songwriter, and studying to be a Waldorf School teacher.

This summer, we'll be backpacking in Western Europe, visiting our European families and seeing the sights. We're bringing guitars and hope to perform some of our original songs (SoundCloud.com/BeatsOfBalance) on street corners and maybe some cafés. I could also DJ (nu-disco / house) if any opportunities present themselves

Even more about me:
As a kid, I was a California State Championship gold medal gymnast, then got pretty good at skateboarding before playing in guitar and bass in college bands, and now I mostly produce electronic music and DJ. I've worked for Apple, Pandora, and Guitar Center, interned at a recording studio, and currently intern for the San Francisco-based concert production company, HUSHconcerts (www.HUSHconcerts.com)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

While traveling, we'd love to see things from a local's perspective. We aren't that into doing the traditional touristy things and are more interested in getting to know the place we are visiting from the roots up. That's where YOU come in! If you'd care to host us or show us around, we'd be super grateful and you'd make our travels so much more memorable. We're happy to host here in Berkeley, California (San Francisco Bay Area) as well!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Studying in Berlin in Fall 2007 was an amazing and eye-opening experience for me. Not only is traveling and living in another country great for your perspective on the world and furthers you personal growth, living in Berlin during that time exposed to me the diversity of electronic music, with so many sub-genres each offering their own unique allure. Before living in Berlin, I thought all electronic music sounded like 90's Trance, but I couldn't have been more wrong! Going to a lot of amazing, intimate concerts in Berlin continues to inspire me to make music.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach languages, how to play instruments, DJ, and produce music.
