Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am looking to stay with and meet locals throughout Central and South America. In my time travelling I have come to appreciate how it is not about the destination but the people you meet. I am backpacking my way down from Mexico and want to avoid the touristy traps, and immerse myself in the local culture.
