About Me
CURRENT MISSION
creating our monastery and getting my small food business up and running
ABOUT ME
Environmentalist, gay, keen on meeting new people and seeing lots of different perspectives. Active in the community and spiritual.
PHILOSOPHY
Living simply and accepting people as they are
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
We are actually a male monastery community (SO WE ONLY HOST MEN) - though that is monastery with a small 'm' and we are not affiliated with any church or religious group.
We really love the cultural exchange, learning new things and perspectives, hearing new music, and helping people out on their journeys.
Our house is by the beach in Christchurch. We prefer to have men stay here for at least 2 days. We do not host people for one night only.
Hosting and surfing. Our home is a new form of male monastery (which is why we only host men). We aim to create a safe space for men to explore their spirituality. We host travellers on the understanding that it is an exchange, so help with cooking, gardening, or other tasks around the place is much appreciated. We are a monastery community and have regular prayers and/or meditation. Guests are welcome to join in but this in not compulsory.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Have hosted a few guys and have also couchsurfed in Turkey and met a guy in Serbia through CS as well
Interests
Like watching Dr Who, Game of Thrones or whatever, lots of kinds of music, gardening and being on the beach. We live by the beach in a very peaceful home. We are a gay couple with a gay friendly flatmate.
