About Me

CURRENT MISSION

see the world before I get a real job

ABOUT ME

I am a 22 year old student from Melbourne, Australia. I have spent more time than most my age abroad, as I have studied in Italy and Canada and traveled throughout Asia. I am very relaxed and easy going - I love getting to know people over a drink and perhaps going for a dance late in the night. I am an avid juggler and circus enthusiast, any sort of quirky skill or balancing act is very impressive. I also

PHILOSOPHY

continue to get better at stuff. Work hard and play hard and enjoy both.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am new to Couch Surfing and have therefore never hosted guests. This is partly because I have been studying abroad for the past year and thus have been enjoying the hospitality of others more than giving back to the community. As soon as I return home and settle down however, my couch will be free for all.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

The first time I heard about couch surfing I was slightly confused: "Errr, Where do you do that? Is there a beach nearby?" I have since learnt much more about the program and had entirely positive experiences. While I am still fairly new, I successfully couchsurfed around Ireland in 2013.

Interests

Im really into Juggling and circus arts. Unicycling, slacklining, firetwirling, anything that looks cool and has a nice mix of performance and endless hours of practice.
Sports - I play tennis and ice hockey fairly regularly, also generally enjoy a game of basketball, AFL or cricket down at the park.
Music - I have dabbled in a few bands (nothing impressive, i assure you) and enjoy sitting with a piano or guitar and making stuff up.
study and learning - im a bit of a nerd coz i like to learn.
Lame jokes. They are great.
Travelling and meeting ppl and experiencing different cultures.
Partying. Who doesnt enjoy it?
I enjoy getting interested in what other people are interested in. Show us what you can do!

Music, Movies, and Books

folk music, rock music, metal music, electonic music, dub, acoustic, comic music, complex and experimental music that pushes the boundries. I basically just listen to whatever radio station I can find and leave it on all day - not fussy at all.
-I worked at a Cinema for 4 years and have a similar approach to movies. I will watch just about anything and everything. Prefer films that dont come out of Hollywood.
Books - I love books but dont read enough. I like magazines and journals. books that educate, books that entertain and books that are simply a demonstration of mastery of language.
Not really into fantasy novels.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

-Spent Christmas 2012 in Quebec in a mountain town and had a white christmas. Being Australian our christmas turkey became a barbequed turkey which required one unlucky chef to stand out in the snow ensuring the rest of us received a quality dinner.
-Traveled through Sri Lanka in 2005 just 6 months after the Indian Ocean Tsunami devastated the country. So much destruction but so much solidarity and support following the international aid effort.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can juggle, do the rubix cube, teach you to kick an AFL footy, play plenty of instruments, play tennis, unicycle, surf,

I cant (and would like to learn to) dance, cook, draw, tell good stories, learn about different cultures and different things.
Im a big fan of history, science and philosophy and would like to learn more about everything.
