Overview
About Me
Currently working in the music festival industry running all over the place doing various gigs. I love music, a lot. I love dancing. I'm an Eagle Scout, and I love camping, hiking, and being in nature. On the flip-side I also love the hustle and bustle of the city and the energy of people. I'm a big fan of comedy: stand-up, sketch, improv, and otherwise. I think everyone should learn to laugh at the bad things in life. True to my Wisconsin roots I love cheese and beer, and everywhere I go I try to find good local beer to try.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My friend Erin originally convinced me to try it out. My initial reason was just to find a place to stay that I didn't have to pay for, but my new reasoning is that I want to meet people and make connections when I travel. At a hotel you don't have a local who can show you the ropes. With couchsurfing you have an opportunity to forge true lasting friendships and that is amazing.
Interests
Music, comedy, performance art of all types, learning about and engaging with other cultures, biking, hiking, kayaking, swimming, beer, art, weird and quirky places and things, hidden gems, abandoned buildings and infrastructure, exploring.

Music, Movies, and Books
My music taste is all over the place, I will go down the rabbit hole of that discussion in person if you wanna talk music!
I really enjoy absurdist movies and I like a lot of different TV shows. Definitely another rabbit hole to go down! Always down to be shown new movies.
I often lose track of which books I really loved, but I think Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close might be the most memorable favorite at the moment. Also into graphic novels and comics, and looking for new recommendations.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The first music festival I worked was Coachella 2016 and it was an incredible experience for me. It really proved my passion for live music to myself and showed me that I am on the right path to be doing what I want to be doing in life.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you about some of the ins and outs of the concert industry, and I can try to help teach English, I'm a pretty good writer so if you want me to look over something you've written I can try to help!
I'd love to learn more about electronics. I want to learn to build synthesizers and guitar pedals and such, but don't understand circuitry very well. Also if you could help me brush up on my French that'd be wonderful.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm down to help cook and clean, and I'll buy us some drinks to share!
