About Me
ABOUT ME
I spent my junior year of high school in Sao Paulo, Brazil and the experience changed my life. Since then, I've had the travel bug and can't seem to shake it!
I would describe myself as fairly laid back, slightly cynical, yet oddly idealistic, curious, philosophical, soft-spoken, and interested in depth over distance. I feel most at home in more quiet, intimate settings where I can really get to know people or dig deeply into a good book. That's not to say I don't like to go out...I do, but less now in my old age.
At the heart of my personality is a quest to always seek a deeper meaning in all that I do, including travel. I'm not one to write a check list of all the "sights" and rush through them. I like to take things slowly, observe the slightly mundane and quotidian of wherever I visit.
CURRENT MISSION
I live in DC and looking to meet up with fellow nomads and share in good conversation. I'm happy to show people around the city and share my favorite spots.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music
I have quite an eclectic taste in music. On my daily commute, I tend to listen to classical music (Vivaldi, being a personal favorite). At work, I listen to a lot of Irish/Celtic jigs and reels (they help keep me motivated). I also listen to some Top 40 kind of stuff when I want to dance, but I also love the classics (Beatles, Stones, Cat Stevens, etc.)
Movies
Some of my favorites include Little Miss Sunshine, Star Wars, some comedies
Books
I tend to read lots of policy/political books. A few other favorites Letters to a Young Poet and The Anarquist Banker (O banqueiro anarquista)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of the best moments ever was going to the Festa de Santo Antonio with my friends in Lisbon. It was absolutely incredible. The energy was so great there.
