Overview
About Me
Melbourne-born guy living in Beijing, working in North Korea as a tour guide.
PHILOSOPHY: "Different things."
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Currently do not have enough space to host, however, have lived in communal / warehouse spaces in Melbourne that have played host to many travellers and musicians over the years. Hoping to get back some good hospitality karma.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
A mixture of excellent and really bad. I made some life long friends in Zermatt, Switzerland who were amazing hosts and I was lucky enough to show them around Tokyo when they came to visit a year later.
On the other hand, I endured a hellish experience of staying with French stoners who gave me two small cushions to sleep on in a tiny, one-room apartment, who then woke me up in the middle of the night having sex a few meters away from me. At about 6am, two other guys arrived and proceeded to sit in the one-room apartment and watch us sleep. Scarring, but a good story all the same.
Interests
I'm interested in history, cultures and food. I will try any food that's considered a local or cultural tradition and throughout my travels have eaten bugs, frog sashimi, grilled lizards, cow anus, pig testicle sashimi, sea lion, crocodile and all manner of digestive systems. I'll honestly try anything.
I love the history of music - everything from electronic music, techno, jazz, krautrock, Euro-dance, disco, rave, 80's new wave, post-rock, classical and contemporary composers, to straight-up pop music.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have the best job in the world.
Waking up in Morocco and going to sleep in Switzerland in the same day. I was still pouring red sand from the Sahara Desert out of my shoes onto the icy road of Zermatt, Switzerland when I arrived.
