All in all I like being in a home more than a hotel because of the personal touch. Hotels are cold and impersonal. Staying in a home is where you can see life through the eyes of someone else and learn about a location through their eyes.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm not going to lie, my primary reason is to make travel cheaper. If I meet new friends and have new experiences, all the better.

By far, my favorite music are classical and 1940s Big Band music.

My favorite movie is the "Princess Bride," and then "The Return of the Jedi."

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I flew from McChord Air Force Base, near Tacoma, to Hawaii (and then back) in an air force C-135. Sat in the jump seats and had to wear ear plugs the whole time.
