About Me

Easy-going human, currently working full-time so any days off spent traveling are like gold dust!

New to couch surfing but not new to making friends :)

Long-term I'd like to get into the humanitarian sector/relief work but for now I'm laying some roots down back home managing projects in the social care sector.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Would love a more authentic and original travel experience. My best travels have been when I know a friend in the area who shows us around and provides a bed/couch/floor to sleep on so I'm hoping for more of those experiences!

Interests

Feel most at home in the mountains, preferably with skis on my feet. Also very much into rock climbing, but lean more towards bouldering than mountaineering.

I've also recently got my first motorbike so I could get the mid-life crisis out the way early!

Music, Movies, and Books

Grew up on 90's era pop-punk (Green Day, Blink-182 etc.) and I have no shame in admitting it!
Nowadays listen to a lot of Frank Turner, but also enjoy everything from tropical house to EDM

Favorite movie: Probably the Matrix, or Fight Club. Or LotR... too many choices!

Books: if it's fiction I'd choose Sci-Fi, but I read a fair amount of really interesting non-fiction too

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hitchhiked on the back of a flat-bed logging truck in Italy with some other climbers from university

Teach, Learn, Share

I find perspective a really fascinating topic. Like how something can be completely different from a different point of view, and how we interpret our own experiences shapes our view of the world.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Good sense of humor, endless jokes. Interesting conversation and any snacks I have on me at the time
