About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Getting the most out of life.
ABOUT ME
I am from a very small town, about 600 people, near the Vermont Quebec border. I love to learn and experience as much of the world as possible.
Currently work with a therapeutic program in an Alaskan wilderness setting.
I like building things, travel, being outside, and hanging out with people.
I work as a naturalist and outdoor guide/educator. Which means I take people (mostly kids) outside to go hiking, camping, climbing, paddling, and to difffert countries. And then when they least expect it I try to teach them about nature, expedition life, outdoor skills, and leadership.
Because this work is outside, it is also seasonal, which means I travel a lot, pick up odd jobs, and take a lot of "mini vacations" all year.
I think Im fun and I know I'm easy going. I love meeting new people and places. Essentially I am a big ball of curiosity. Everything in this world is amazing and beautiful I cant get enough.
PHILOSOPHY
¨You dont live to find yourself. You live to create yourself.¨
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I´ve been using couch surfing to better experience the places and people I find my self around. I travel full time and look forward to a time when I will be able to host CSers.
Also Couchsurfing is a great way to meet people who do great things. And one way I participate in couchsurfing is to beg these people to show me how. SO here's a short list of some of the things I would love to do but don't have the know how, YET! Teach me.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My main experience with couchsurfing was a trip to northern Mexico in 2008 and it was fantastic. People in Mexico treated me like family, I am forever indentured to them. THANK YOU! I was lucky enough to have a small room rented out in Creel and a few CSers even braved the unusually barren conditions to be my guests and we also had a wonderful time exploring the copper canyon together.
Then I was lucky enough to split a ride and find a house for the inauguration of Barak Obama. Another completely transformitive experience. I can't be more grateful to Gil and Nacey, or more happy to have met the wonderful people with whom we all shared that moment in history.
They even did a CNN report on us:

I couchsurfed with my friend Dennis up and then down the coast of California Oregon and Washington. Many spectacular hosts along to way, but one especially great day we spent with the folks at Dancing Hawk an center for learning indigenous technologies. From techniques for creating useful tools and clothing, making fire from a variety of sources, building shelter, even kayaks to finding food from nature hunting and gathering. I wish we had more time!
Most recently I stayed in Bullhead city at the end of a week long trip down the Colorado river. Thank you Erika and Alea excellent hosts who went out of there way to help us.
