Overview
About Me
Hello! My name is Matt and I live in Brixton, London. Originally from Australia, I've been living in Europe for nearly a decade. After leaving Australia, I travelled around Europe for 12 months with my backpack, visiting lots of different countries, as well as working on permaculture farms and getting involved in rural queer communities.
After a while, I ended up visiting friends in Brighton (United Kingdom) and liked the city so much, I stayed for 4 years. Always eager to check out new places to live, I gave London a go and that's where I am now. I live in a friendly, open-minded gay house share in Brixton, South London, complete with a garden that gets the afternoon sun.
I'm a yoga teacher which I really enjoy, I get to meet lots of people during the week and my work takes me across Europe and South Asia. London is a great place to live and to visit, there's lots going on, a really diverse mix of communities and Europe is on your doorstep.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've spent the best part of a decade living, working and travelling around Europe - and it never ceases to amaze me how vast the world is and how we're all connected.
I've always been an avid traveller and keen to experience other countries and cultures. Over the course of my travels, I've met some very generous people, and really value that shared experience. I'm keen to offer my room when I can, meet friendly, open-minded and 'thirst-for-life' people.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like music from opera to psychedelic trance to indie to hip hop and everything in between. Too many favourite movies to name. I'm not much of a reader, though have a decent collection of books related to yoga and meditation.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I studied classical piano at university!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share a friendly welcome, a comfortable bed, a home cooked meal over a drink in the garden (weather permitting) and a natter about what to do in the city.
