About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Please have a filled profile with info, references, and photo. Thanks!
Take any opportunity to travel and meet new and interesting people.
ABOUT ME
American living and working in Kiev.
I love history, languages, culture, traveling, food, photography, and literature. I was inspired to travel by working with exchange students at my university. So far it has been amazing and changed my outlook on life.
PHILOSOPHY
I just like to treat people how I would like to be treated. If people are kind and hospitable to me then I reciprocate in kind. Everyone has something to teach, and everyone has something to learn.
Be excellent to each other!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I lived in Tbilisi with an extra room so I figured why not host awesome people from all over the world!
Since then, living in Kiev I haven't had room to host but I would like to again at sometime, or be a surfer myself.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've hosted a good bit of people and really enjoyed showing them around and getting to hear their stories. While I don't often surf myself, I hope to travel more in the near future. The people I have met have been really incredible and the cultural exchange this website allows is amazing.
Interests
Currently trying to learn Russian, so anyone willing to help me with that would be appreciated. I love trying new cuisine and talking to people who have interesting stories to tell. Photography, science, history, and literature are my favorite topics of discussion. However, I can be a bit juvenile at times, I like comedies, cartoons, and humor of all kinds.

Music, Movies, and Books
In terms of music, I can listen to nearly anything, but not too into mainstream rap or country.
I love classic literature, but there are times when I will read something a bit more modern.
Who doesn't love movies?
Really, too many books/movies/bands to list.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
That would definitely be the decision to live and work in Georgia for two years and now in Ukraine for a year.
The Caucasus, Sunset over The Black Sea, Watching Don Giovanni in Prague on Christmas day, New Years Eve at the Brandenburg Tor in Berlin, Crossing the Bosphorus under a rainbow, The humbling war museums in Kiev, Hiking Kazbegi. Exploring the lesser known places in Western Ukraine. Being present in the first days of the protests in Kiev and throughout the revolution.
Just eating, drinking, and laughing with new people everywhere I go is always a favorite of mine so if you have a story to tell I'm sure you have something amazing to offer.
