ABOUT ME

I'm a graduate student studying international relations at the moment. I have no clue where this will take me, but I hope my lifestyle will somewhat mirror Indiana Jones. Though, not father a son that looks like Shia Labeuf. I like to keep myself busy with reading, exploring new things, and play soccer any chance I have. Yes, I am crazy about the game and watch my favorite team every weekend. I can be a bit of a nerd with playing chess and my love of Star Wars. Though,in the end, I enjoy going out on the weekends to enjoy good beer and shooting pool with my friends. I have visited Argentina and France, but hope that I will soon see more. Oh, I also am a very devoted yerba mate drinker, so if you don't know what that is you'll quickly find out.

PHILOSOPHY

Everything you need to know about life can be retained from the Godfather and the Big Lebowski. I just hope to continue learning and abide.

Interests

Futbol is life. I love to read and I always seem to have a book in my hands. I am a mad Hotspur fan. So if you want to tell me about how awesome Man Utd., Chelsea or Arsenal are, you'll likely only receive a blank stare at best. I am really interested in latin america and hope to see more of it after I finish my studies. People who like chess are always appreciated.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite author is Hemingway. I love the classic authors, but also love travel literature. I also read a lot on general history and political movements within Latin America.
My favorite movies are Star Wars, Indiana Jones, In Bruges, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Schindler's List, and the Big Lebowski.
My radio is usually tuned to NPR, because that's where the best music can be found. My favorite bands are O.A.R., Dave Matthew's Band, Missy Higgins, Johnny Cash, and Queen. Irish folk music is also a general favorite.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing thing I have ever seen is a sunrise over the New Mexico plains on top of the Tooth of Time. I am sure the more chances I have to travel this section will expand.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would like to meet and learn from witty, laid back, and strong tendencies to wander the world. I will teach you about yerba mate and the culture around it. I love to talk about traveling and the places I would like to see.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Yerba Mate, a drink that I learned to love in Argentina. I also have a working knowledge of futbol and international relations. Oh, and I also love to read.
