I am unique as we all are, adventurous and love to have a good time and meet new people and have new experiences and always feel more alive then the previous moment.

PHILOSOPHY

nosce te ipsum, "thine own self thou must know" its an age old saying, the inference being that if we understand ourselves we then understand all? At the very least it increases our empathy - blurring of the lines between self and others. Its easy to empathise with those whose core values are similar to ours, but what of those whose values are different? *current edit, yes that's true but empathy doesn't necessarily mean blurring of lines between self & others so much as acknowledging, learning & celebrating them & keeping all interactions respectful. (Philosophical discussions are very much encouraged & appreciated!)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have been hosting now for 7 years * current edit, almost 16 years :) Also done a little bit of surfing myself, keen to do more in the future, but tied down by work a bit. Have attended events on and off over the years *current edit the only events I'm aware of are ultimate Frisbee & Blazing Swan, & though I love to attend I've not been to either lately!

I've previously owned a group outdoor personal training business, looking to get back in my fitness, I play alot of sport, like indoor soccer, netball, ultimate frisbee. current edit not as much sport, but I still keep very fit & stairclimb, cycle & run. Love mountaineering or when home running up 200+ stairs (there's no mountains in West Australia), Table Tennis, Chess, Poker, Wingspan, Meterology (the weather), Geography, Grooving to good tunes, Listening to good tunes, Psychology, Beaches, Music Festivals, Drinking cold beer on hot Sundays and red wine on cold Saturdays. *current edit, just drinking in general:) & watching dolby vision & dolby atmis 4KUHD movies! of course Travel but haven't done too much lately unfortunately *current edit that's gonna change soon!

Non-commercial is an essential... I do love techno!(Stacey Pullen, Kevin Saunderson, Carl Craig, Matthew Dear, Speedy J, Ellen Allien) Also love deep dark Dubstep, Psy-trance & minimal. But, listening to an increasingly diverse range of music, including folk, indie, jazz, reggae & blues. *current edit, listen to alot more folk, soft rock & alt pop nowadays but still love techno!

I like challenging and inspiring books. Got a nice bookshelf happening 150+

Lucky to be working all over Australia & particularly Western Australia been to countless stunning untouched remote places.
Went to Base Camp Mt Everest and climbed Island Peak 6189 metres! What a challenging but rewarding experience!!
Hanging out and drinking Arak (rice beer) with the locals of Bali, Indonesia (really beautiful people).
Sitting on the veranda in summer with a coldie in hand and watching a thunderstorm at my parents farm.
Taking a boat past several untouched islands of Indonesia to Komodo Island to see the Komodo Dragons in their natural habitat.
Working on a stunning American Indian reservation in the middle of nowhere in New Mexico, USA.
Driving up Wolf Creek Pass in Colorado in a convoy of 20+ trucks.

I can share with you some good techno. I can let you know how good perth weather is! I can always challenge your point of view, but also want to learn from other people, I believe we can learn alot from other people. Everyone has something to give. *current edit (older & a bit saltier), yes they do, but unfortunately some people seem happier to take than give.

*current edit live in Yanchep now so not easily accessible to the city & I like it that way. I still work a lot but can host occasionally sharing travels & adventure stories is still very much my passion & I'll go on some myself soon skiing in the US.
