About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to live a good life - and that includes doing everything i can possibly do, and then do it all over again, before i cark it!!!

ABOUT ME

i am keen to try pretty much most things at least once, and then the ones i like i will try em again and again and again.
i love to learn, and am super inquisitive.
i am a sport addict, and any sport involving a buzz interests me.
there is not one place that i dont want to go, and not one that i dont want to revisit!!

PHILOSOPHY

as far as i am concerned, everyone can do whatever they like, as long as it doesnt negatively effect other people or the environment.
have a go at everything.
always try your best.
make it happen!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

right now i am living in brazil, in a national park called chapada diamantina. it is a travellers paradise for trekking, as well as chilling and spending some time in the local historical colonial town of Lencois.
i dont have a place where people can crash as my house is tiny with me and the missus and the little monster. but i can give you advice on places to stay and things to check out in the area. if you want to catch up for a beer it is all good most of the time. i know the area pretty well and sometimes guide people in the park if they ask me. there are day hikes, multi day treks, caves, rock climbing, mountain biking, canoe trips, car outings - you name it, it is pretty much all here. heaps of travellers i have met have told me that Lencois has been the best place that they visited in all of south america - that is no bullshit either!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

before this site was even a thought in its creators minds, i was couch surfing and letting crew couch surf at my place - where ever that might have been. one time in australia i counted 26 people staying at the house i was living at, and another time in california i counted 9 people crashed out in a 1 bedroom apartment! half the people i didnt even know and it was all good! i love it!!

Interests

i am pretty much interested in everything. i like to learn about it all and try it all. but if there is one thing i can think of right now that doesnt particularly interest me, then i gotta be honest and let you know that i am not really into spiritual stuff. if you are, that is cool with me, as long as you dont tell me that karma is in the air and is gonna solve the worlds problems, and all that kind of thing.
i am a sport head, preferring board sports. i love music, and i am definately addicted to travelling.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

one amazing thing?! there are so many that i would rather drink some beers with you and talk about them in person mate!
but ok, if i have to pick one, then the burning man festival has to be pretty much up there with the best of em. how's that for a start?!

Teach, Learn, Share

i have heard people say that couch surfing is great because it is for free - well, i tend to think that that kind of way of thinking is from bludgers. for me it is about getting to hang with people who live in the area, who you most likely have a lot in common with, and who are more than happy to spend some time with you and show you around. seeing a place is great when you travel, but it is never as good as actually meeting the cool people who help to make that great place you are planning to visit.
