About Me
Hello everyone :)
Sorry I can't host anyone at the moment since my partner and I have decided to take a break from work and go travelling for a wee bit! We saved money in the last years and before starting new jobs we wanted to visit some of the places we were so curious about :) In October we left Europe and travelled to Japan and India, and now it's time for Greece. My partner studied modern Greek and we have many Greek friends, so we thought this was a good moment to discover Greece at a slow pace!
I would describe myself as an open-minded person, with a great passion for nature, music and traveling. I love to see new places and meet people with different cultures and backgrounds: I had the chance to work with migrants in Italy and it's been a most enriching experience. Also, I have worked with children in primary schools for the last 4 years and it's been my best professional period: I have learned so many things and I'm lucky I can say I also had a lot of fun at work!
Anyway, life changes everyday, so who knows what life will bring after this journey :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have started using couchsurfing some years ago, but most of all because I was sharing a flat with 3 other lovely girls and we decided to host surfers in our spare room to meet new people from all around the world! And now, it's my turn to travel and I hope to meet lovely people in the places I will visit :)
Interests
I love hiking, cycling and cannot live without music and books. I am very passionate about food growing and cooking also.
Lately, I've been reading about new cultures and the writing of an Italian journalist that lived in Asia for decades, Tiziano Terzani. I also enjoy reading Pico Iyer, a great travel writer. Although the last book I read was a children's book: "Comet in Moominland" and I definitively recommend it to everyone :)
