Overview
About Me
At the start of 2018 my girlfriend and I quit our jobs to travel for an extended, and so far undefined, period. My philosophy is that life is for living and I've found that many of my fondest memories have come from traveling. Hopefully that gives you a sense of my attitude to life, anything else is much better learned in person.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Meeting people and sharing experiences, culture, stories, and all the other wonderful things their are to share in life.
Interests
Love traveling, dancing, learning, meeting new people, talking smack, doing unusual things and experiencing some of the many wonderful things this world has to offer. I'd find it hard to live without my snowboard and camera and I'm always looking for opportunities to get better with both of them. I'm also about trying to leave a positive footprint on the world. I work in youth mental health and also do respite foster care.

Music, Movies, and Books
Always changing, but at the time of writing this:
Book = Finally getting around to reading the girl with the dragon tattoo (inspired by recent visit to Stockholm).
Album = Above & Beyond - Acoustic
Movie = Logan was pretty spot on.
TV = Eagerly anticipating the second season of Westworld.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My first truly awesome traveling experience was camping on my own at the bottom of the Grand Canyon many moons ago.
In more recent times, completing a marathon was pretty cool.
Teach, Learn, Share
- Teaching people about photography, psychology.
- Trying to convert people to minimalism and traveling with only carry on luggage.
- Learning about pretty much everything and anything, with a particular interest in hearing about other peoples' perspectives on life and living.
- Sharing philosophical wisdom, or at least pretending to.
What I Can Share with Hosts
In addition to the above, I pride myself on trying not to leave a footprint (at least not a dirty one) - always cleaning up after myself, chipping in with house work, and doing what I can to make sure that my stay is cost neutral for hosts.
Countries I’ve Visited
Argentina, Bolivia, Cambodia, Czech Republic, Denmark, England, France, Germany, Greece, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Morocco, Netherlands, Norway, Peru, Poland, Scotland, Spain, Sweden, Thailand, Turkey, United States, Viet Nam
