ABOUT US

We are always on the go volunteering with different animal welfare organizations, doing wild life rescue and rehabilitation, cleanups, education and more and are looking for a few places to stay when not working in the field or stationed at a project.

PHILOSOPHY

Buddhism: In short our goal is nothing more than to lead a moral life, be mindful and aware of our thoughts and actions to better develop wisdom and understanding to end suffering.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We've surfed quite a few couches in our days but most have been friends, friends of friends, other animal rights activist or some how connected through a similar niche but now as we venture further from home we are branching out to any one and everyone with an open door and kind heart.

Interests

Aside from our deep passion for helping animals and others in need we are outdoor enthusiast always looking for a new place to explore be it hiking, mountain biking, rock climbing, diving or kayaking. Road trips are a big favorite of ours and we're willing to drive almost anywhere whether it be for roadside oddities, national landmarks or even an amazing restaurant we keep hearing about!

Music, Movies, and Books

Books:
Tutorial type, scientific journal, art, travel, generally anything educational

Movies:
Comedy
Horror/Thriller
(Had a short obsession with terrible B Rated horrors)
Action
Documentaries

Shows:
We can't stand TV but occasionally someone will get us sucked into a series on Netflix and we kiss productivity goodbye with a good binge, lol.

Music:
We won't lie we're big fans of metal and old school punk rock but love a wide variety including folk, indie, ska, and even if the moment is right dubstep. There's not much we won't listen to if the setting is right.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

We've hiked the Pitons of St. Lucia in record timing, worked on the world's largest barrier reef in Australia, lived in cars and campers across the US and Europe, sailed from Australia to Indonesia, started our own plastic pollution cleanup project and had many other great adventures but making connections with new people everyday and helping end animal suffering is by far the most amazing thing we have ever done.

Teach, Learn, Share

Being vegans we are more than willing to share the secret of where we get our protein and the fact that we can eat more than just fries and bar nuts going out to eat :) Nadine's an amazing cook and loves sharing recopies!

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Botswana, Canada, Costa Rica, Grenada, Indonesia, Kenya, Mexico, Mozambique, Namibia, Panama, South Africa, Thailand, Zambia, Zimbabwe
