We are currently 2 months into a 1 year around the world trip

ABOUT ME

We are in the BC phase of our life. Before Children, to be exact. We are two months into a 1 year around-the-world tour that will include Europe, Asia, and finally South America.

We are very curious travelers, and love engaging others in conversation on a myriad of subjects. Matt tends to be the more extroverted person, and Cat tends to be the person people really learn to love.

Matt loves to cook, and loves talking business, science, politics and sports. Cat loves art and children, and is a voracious reader and journal-writer.

We are both quite clean and respectful. We are homeowners, and will treat any couch as it were our own.

PHILOSOPHY

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We plan to use the CS to learn local culture and expand our network of world travelers, worldly people, and interesting, thoughtful people.

When we return to California, we plan to host travelers in San Francisco. Again, our goal will be to provide a forum for learning and cross-cultural understanding.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We surfed with Big Ray in Prague, and (our surrogate son...SMILE) Victor in Helsinki. Both guys were awesome hosts, fun, intelligent, and terrific people. We stay in touch with both of them, and hope to host them in SF someday (soon).

We sold off most of our "stuff", put the rest in storage, rented our house, and moved to Honduras for 3 months to get dive master certified on the island of Roatan.
