ABOUT ME

Hello, my name is Matt. I'm 23 years old and currently work as a freelance photographer doing architecture, portrait, lifestyle and surf photography. I graduated from Brooks Institute in 2009. I served as a leader in the youth group for my church for the last year with the Jr. High and High-schoolers. I love surfing, hiking, fly fishing and reading in my free time. I'm really looking forward to meeting tones of new people on my way through New Zealand which is a trip I've wanted to do for years and am finally going. YHEEEWWW!

PHILOSOPHY

I've found that knowing God is my true joy and my aim is to glorify Him in all I do, though I often fail. I love meeting new people building friendships.

None, personally but growing up we often hosted people in our guest bedroom that needed a place to stay. (Not sure if that counts.)

Interests

I grew up on the beautiful coast of Southern California which has enabled me to surf almost every week of the year since 6th grade. I love studying the Bible, learning theology and having conversations about all of it. I introduced to fly fishing this last year and am very hooked on it, I just can't get enough! I guess it's clear that I really love the outdoors in general and all that it brings, hiking, backpacking, camping occasionally climbing etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'm more than willing to share my knowledge of photography and have some pretty good skills in Photoshop which are open to anyone who will listen. I love learning new skills and experiencing different cultures. I would LOVE to learn how to cook better, fish better, dance better (I'm really bad).
