About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to engage life through people and running!

ABOUT ME

Well I love to run. I find it's a great way to take in the beauty that is this world, so I really enjoy long runs outside. I'm also a huge fan of racing and hard workouts, there's something really cool about the way that they affect the way I see life.

I'm doing my residency in family medicine with intentions to pursue emergency training so that keeps me pretty busy, but I do my best to make time for non-school-related reading and coffee/meals with friends. Plan is to work up north and in rural places around Canada for a bit then pop overseas to see some other places with work. Always up for a good chat!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was really fortunate to get to travel to Kenya on a medical elective in '11. I went partly for the medicine, partly for the running. After a few days I met a guy on a run who turned out to be a great athlete and friend. On one of our training runs weaving around on farm roads at a pretty good clip, a group of Kenyan children with school books in hand and broken flip flops on their feet took off with us laughing playfully. To my surprise, a few of them were able to hold on with us, and I got to run..in Kenya..with children..down red mud farm roads..for a good 5 miles until they had to turn off to school. Cliche as ever, but it was definitely an amazing experience for me!
