About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To see everything, learn everything, capture everything, and meet some wonderful people along the way

ABOUT ME

I'm a pretty awesome mid-30s guy, who likes to have a great time and meet people from all over the world.

I carry a camera almost everywhere, I like to barbeque for large amounts of people. I enjoy getting out of the cities as much as possible, traveling off the beaten track when I can, and assimilating into other cultures as much as I can

People who know me tend to think I know how to do everything. I don't know if that's true, but I hope not, because there is so much more to learn.

PHILOSOPHY

Learn everything, do everything, teach everything, figure it out as you go.

The best way to learn how to fix something is to try until it's broken down to every part, then put it back together again.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Mostly I attend events and meetups. I'd like to be able to host more.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Some great times with great people. I've hosted dozens of surfers, been hosted across Europe (sometimes by those same surfers, other times by friends I've met in NY). I can honestly say, that I've met some truly marvelous people who I stay in touch with, no matter how far their (or my) travels takes us

Interests

Cameras, Bicycles, Motorcycles, Pizza, Helicopters, Beers, Whisk(e)y, people, movement, cooking meals

Music, Movies, and Books

I like all of those things.

I've got 4 shelves worth of books, and occasionally stacks of magazines (until I donate them). I read mostly spy thrillers, history books, biographies, historical fiction, economics books and the like, but do branch outside of that often.

Music tastes are extremely varied, but my favorites are the Beatles, Led Zepplin, Bob Marley, Jorge ben Jor, Ricky Skaggs, Queen, Modest Mouse, Of Mice and Men, Mozart, Mumford and Sons, among many others.

Movies, comedies and things with explosions typically win out, but also spy thrillers and campy horror flicks.
