About Me

I’m a curious person, always happy to learn new things about the world. I would define myself an explorer. I live near Bergamo but I often go to Milan or to other cities in the north of Italy or nearby Switzerland cities for a day trip, especially during the weekends, if I'm not traveling farther. Unfortunately, at the moment I can’t host, but I always love helping travelers and adventuring together, mainly in Bergamo and Milan. Or we can explore together somewhere else around, city or hike on the mountains or near the sorrounding lakes, if I have time and you want! Happy to walk with you in historical and modern places in the cities, or in the woods talking about sustainability and biodiversity. Usually, I also organise Couchsurfing group meetings in Bergamo, Milan, or also abroad or in other cities in Italy, wherever I'm traveling at that moment. Up to now, I did this in Budapest, Moscow, Rome and it's been a nice experience! I’m sure we can find interesting topics to share views about, with everyone! I also love walking a lot and exploring my local area with travelers, since also seeing the same place several times, but with a different person, it’s a way for me to discover new things, with a new perspective! It’s always a new adventure!

I'm not a touristic guide, nor I intend to be one and I don't organize free walking tours, but just friendly meetings to share our cultures/experiences while traveling together.
Couchsurfing is not a dating site and it's not a freeloaders site neither, so I can be picky sometimes in choosing who to meet, reading profiles carefully. I try to do the same when I organize group meetings, to avoid unpleasant situations for everyone in the group.
When I joined this community, I did it with the aim to unconditionally help people (when I feel they deserve it), hopefully making new connections and learning from their cultures, in the process:)
Luckily, good and genuine people are always out there somewhere and I truly managed to find also who really shares the spirit of helping others, sharing experiences and moments, or just spending a good time together, only for the sake of a smile!
If you're here for the same reasons, whatever your age, country, religion and whatever your gender is, you're very welcome to write me and to contact me!

Interests

I love nature. Hiking in the woods and on the mountains and every place near a lake or the sea/ocean is my thing. I take care of my orchards at home, having now more than 250 between trees/vines/bushes of fruit, from different continents; I'm a big fan of biodiversity and sustainability and I'm using some techniques from permaculture system, traditional and modern agriculture, environmental engineering, to produce part of my own and family's food, as well as a part for the wild life. I have four cats and four chickens and so I love animals as well!
I love music and I’ve been playing myself the flute since I was nine and a little bit the piano! I’ve always had a curios mind about historical things, especially from the ancient daily life.
I graduated in accountancy, then started to study mechanical engineering at the university and at the moment, studying management engineering, so also I like a lot scientific topics!
I also love reading books, photography and drawing, especially landscapes and portraits, although I'm still learning. When I manage to find a good landscape or something that gives me emotions I want to take a picture of it!
I like collecting stamps and money from all over the world!
Love a lot everything related to tech and new technologies!
I practice Krav maga, an Israeli self-defense.
And of course, love traveling and organize or improvise my own trips!

But I’m always ready to discover from you, new interests and making them my own ones!

Music, Movies, and Books

Any kind of books, especially if it teaches me something new!

Yatch rock, jazz, blues, classical music, latino music, music from the 60's/70's. But actually I'm all over the place with music!

I like watching movies. I don’t actually have a particular preferred kind of movies, but there a lot of movies I like from different genres.

Teach, Learn, Share

I’m always happy to teach you some basic Italian and I’ve already tried to do it, during my Couchsurfing experience! Even if, probably, the best thing it would be to help you practising the language, when you already have a basic knowledge of it!
I can share stories, interests and we could learn and have adventures together!

My motto is: mens sana in corpore sano.

Countries I’ve Visited
